11 March 2011

This is the original information from the old site.

"Which BDZ locomotives have german counterparts?

Lets be a little bit more specific

Class 08

Engines with numbers from 08.01 to 08.08 look like the german class 17.3 or Bavarian type C V.

BR 17.3

Scale models of the  BR17.3 (bay CV) where made by Micro Metakit and Finescale München HO and N gauges.

The second group of locomotives from class 08 with numbers from 08.09 to 08.20 corespond to German 38.0 (Bavarianт P3/5N)

BR38.0 (bay. P 3/5 N)

Up to this moment we are not aware of a mass production model of these locomotives. They are often mistaken with models of other subseries, for example with models of BeckmannTT's BR38.2-3 (Saxon XII H2) or HO gauge Piko and Fleishmann models.

Class 12

These locomotives corespond to BR58.28. There is no known model.

Class 13

Locomotives from class 13 Are the same as german BR58 (G 12).

For class 13 we have a lot of available models in different gauges from gauge 1 to Z. In НО scale the BR58 was produced by Roco, Rivarossi as well as from Lemaco. In ТТ was made by Kittler, N by Minitrix.
