PIKO Digi 1

 
       
The first of the basic elements is the "PIKO Digi 1". The "PIKO Digi 1" is the digital control for the PIKO model railroad, based on DCC standard. It controls locos and all the other elements of the model train system. 2 to 3 locos can be controlled simultaneously, because the adapter, which is included in the starter set, can provide power for 2 to 3 locos.
       
Features
The "PIKO Digi 1" includes a power section - your control center. An adapter is supposed to connect it to the power supply. At the same time, the "sPIKO Digi 1" is connected to the tracks. This connection is supposed to transmit command to the loco.

The locomotives themselves are controlled by the infrared remote control the so-called "PIKO Digi-Fern" (Digi Remote). It transmits all commands to the "PIKO Digi 1" which subsequently transmits them to the locos via the tracks.
       
In short: The commands are transmitted by the "PIKO Digi-Fern" and are transmitted to the tracks via the "PIKO Digi 1". From there, they proceed to the locomotive and its decoder. The decoder tells the motor to go faster or slower.

Please note that the "PIKO Digi-Fern" can only be used indoors. There it can be only operated within a range of 10 meters (around 11 yards).

The "PIKO Digi-Fern" and the "PIKO Digi 1" can operate 127 locos at the most. They control the loco's speed, direction, and special features. Additionally, they can operate up to 256 switches and signals.

In order to widen the range of capabilities of the "PIKO Digi 1", we equipped the control system with 4 transmission lines which are represented by the buttons A, B, C, and D on the "PIKO Digi-Fern". You can save a loco address on one of these lines and therefore control a loco when pressing the respective button. Additionally, you can save another 4 switch or signal addresses on the same transmission line.

If e. g. line A controls the loco under the address "15" and the switches (or signals) 1 to 4, line B can control loco "20" and the switches (or signals) 13 to 16.

The 4 transmission lines enable the model railroader to switch easiyl between the different locomotives. And there is even more: If there are several PIKO model railroaders and thus 4 PIKO Digi remote controls, all 4 of them can be used simultaneously without influencing the locomotives of the other 3.

If you want to expand your layout and to run more than 2 locos at the same time, then you can add the "PIKO Digi 2" to your PIKO "Digi 1".

Maximum Number of Locomotives
As we mentioned before, you can control up to 127 locos with the "PIKO Digi 1". However, this does not mean that you can use the same (and only) adapter for 127 locos running at the same time. Every locomotive consumes current. The current consumption differs among the different types of locomotives. The PIKO "Hobby" locos consume between 300 mA to 400 mA. The consumption also depends on the number of cars a loco is pulling. The adapter can only provide a certain amount of power. As a consequence, there is a limit of locos, for which an adapter can provide power. If there are too many locos on the tracks that want power, the adapter may be overloaded and simply stop working. This reaction is comparable to a short circuit.
If you want more locomotives to run on the tracks, you need additional adapters to provide additional power. These additional adapters are called "boosters". They can be connected to the "PIKO Digi 1" through the "PIKO Digi 2" (input is on the bottom side and is labeled "A"). They transmit the current in a section of the tracks that is detached from the "PIKO Digi 1".
 


The track sections have to be detached from each other. As the "PIKO Digi 1" and the "PIKO Digi 2" are connected, the "PIKO Digi 1" transmits its command via the "PIKO Digi 2" to the "new" section of the tracks, and controls the locomotives there as well. The maximum number of "PIKO Digi 2's" that can be connected to a "PIKO Digi 1" is 10.

The "PIKO Digi-Fern" has the following features:
       
-4 transmission lines can control 4 locos and 4 groups of 4 switches and signals each
-Loco control with loco addresses from 0 to 127

Refreshing cycle:
12 locomotives
("Refreshing cycle": If a loco is not supplied with electric current for more than one second, the decoder will automatically turn off. This is a very usual thing to happen. In order to prevent the locomotive from stopping, the commands from the control have to be repeatedly transmitted (and therefore be "refreshed"). The "PIKO Digi 1" can "refresh" a maximum of 12 locos. If there are more than 12 locomotives running on the layout, one locomotive may suddenly stop running, because it cannot be "refreshed". Then it has to be supplied with new commands.)

т.е Има ли разлика от това дали ще си с адаптер или с устройството?

Първото е DCC управление (DIGI-1), тоест тока е "крив" и не става за управление на аналогови локомотиви (без декодери). Второто е слабичък трансформатор за "крив" ток ------> ~16V, тоест става за захранване на аксесуари (стрелки, семафори и т.н.) при аналогово управление, или за захранване на DCC управление (но само до един локомотив в НО).
Винаги е по-добре да си с трансформатор (устройството), защото адаптерите са много по-слаби, но в този случай и трансформатора не е много мощен.
Впрочем тези цени направо ме потресоха...
Ако искаш да се оборудваш с DCC, тук в "продава" редовно се пускат такива нещица и то на същите цени (максимум) но в лева (а не в евро). Обикновенно са чисто нови или добре "гледани".
 

Впрочем ако това е вярно (цената от 187 евро) аз на твое място бих дал "само" 169 евро срещу които получавам в комплект релси геолайн - 1 овал, БР 218 - дизелов локомотив, служебен вагон, кран,платформа за стрелата на крана, Мултимаус - комплект (DCC управление) и всичко това от РОКО.
Толкова е цената в новия каталог на Конрад - толкова си ги купуваме и от ЛИпето (местиниятг чуждустранен фаворит в онлайн търговията по хобито).
Така , че си помисли хубаво, колко пари и за какво искаш да ги похарчиш!!!

Синтезатор на звуци за озвучаване на макет. Създава пълна звукова картина на макета. Сам генерира незнам си колко вида шум и звуци. С USB можеш да вкараш и твои "композиции". Има входове за командване на звуците от сензори, напр. ридкотакти по релсите. Има команди по време, напр. камбаните на църквата се включват на определен час. Външните звуци, които вкарваш са МР3, така, че лесно може да си ги запишеш с микрофона на телефона дори. Може например да инсталираш обемен датчик и при приближаване на макета на по близко разстояние, предварително записан глас предупреждава да не се пипа или за гледане се плаща. От гарата ще звучат немски маршове, а от депото ще се чуват арийски ругатни. Изобщо, готина джаджа. За теб няма да е проблем да създадеш един звуков шедьовър, допълнение към супер макета.

Някой има ли опит с декодера на Tillig 66021 или 66022, който е производство на Uhlenbrock?
Искам да сложа декодери на два стари BTTB локомотива, главно от сантиментална подбуда, та търся евтин декодер, колкото да ги подкарам с мултимауса. Този е най-евтиният вариант, който намерих, но в интернет не намирам никакви детайли за него - дори подробни спецификации няма. Ако някой го е ползвал ще съм благодарен да чуя отзиви.

но аз бих ти препоръчал за ТТ, по-новите и масови които полваме - тези на "Kuehn - 025",


които са по-добри и също толкова малки и евтини - при това си имат документация и се продават почти навсякъде.
Има ги и във всякакви варианти - с проводници, прав или "Г"-образен съединител по NEM651.

Да, видях, че тези на Kühn ги препоръчват много. За новите локомотиви, които ще купувам, мислех да взимам от тях така или иначе. Питах за Tillig защото излизат една идея по-евтино. Сега като знам на кой точно модел на Uhlenbrock съответстват ще мога да им проверя спецификациите! Мерси много! Като избера финално ще документирам инсталирането им на двата BTTB лока и ще докладвам във форума
